adnominal conditionals

(1)
a. The consequences if we fail would be devastating.
b. The price if you pay now would be much smaller than the price if you pay later.

(2)

(3)
a. The boy will visit Kyoto if it is fine tomorrow.
b. The boy, if it is fine tomorrow, will visit Kyoto.
c. *The boy if it is fine tomorrow will visit Kyoto.
d. The outcry if it had been sarin nerve gas accident would be hair raising.
